VitaeChek needed retail packaging for their blood glucose monitoring system device that communicated clinical credibility, ease of use, and brand trust at the pharmacy shelf level.

Medical device packaging must simultaneously achieve regulatory compliance, communicate product features with clarity, and create brand differentiation in a category dominated by established names.

The Brief

Design complete retail box packaging for the VitaeChek blood glucose monitoring system — with a clean clinical aesthetic, prominent product visibility, feature callouts, and a design system consistent with the VitaeChek brand identity.

The Outcome

The packaging design gave VitaeChek a professional, brand-consistent retail presence for their blood glucose monitoring system — ready for pharmacy distribution and DTC e-commerce listing.

Our Approach

How We Did It

A clean, clinical white and brand-blue colour system was applied — referencing medical device design conventions while giving VitaeChek a distinctive, ownable shelf presence versus generic monitoring system brands.

The front panel was structured around a clear product hero with prominent device visibility, key feature callouts, and the VitaeChek brand mark positioned for maximum shelf recognition.

Box geometry and structural design were developed to accommodate the device, test strips, lancets, and quick-start guide — with all panel areas fully designed including side gussets and back information panels.

Regulatory information, certification marks, and barcode/UPC elements were integrated within the back and side panel layouts, ensuring full compliance for pharmacy and healthcare retail distribution.

Multiple packaging angle renders were delivered for pre-production review and e-commerce product listing use.
